Giveaway Winners Announced!

When we announced our EX Power Tins Giveaway, we weren’t sure what kind of response we would get. To enter, participants had to answer one question: What does Pokémon mean to you? The response was overwhelming with over 200 entries! From your answers, we can see how passionate our fans are and just how much it means to them, and that’s what we wanted to hear. While the responses ranged from serious to silly, all of them were incredible (well, besides the guy who simply answered “tacos.”). Some of your stories were truly inspiring, and the creativity shown was incredible. It was a privilege to be able to read all of your experiences, and it reminded us at The Top Cut why we love Pokémon so much, too.

Unfortunately, we can pick only two winners for this contest, and it wasn’t easy. If we could, we would give something to everyone who entered because so many of you sent in truly incredible responses. But at the end of the day, the two winners are Tristen Schoostra and Jeremy Robinson! Both of you shared great stories and showed incredible passion for Pokémon, and we hope these tins will be a nice treat for you. After everything our fans have done for us, we’re glad to be able to give back to those who support us.

Again, thank you to everyone who entered, and thank you to everyone who continues to support us. We’ll try to do more of these giveaways in the future because they’re a great way to interact with our fans. A contest like this reminded us why we began The Top Cut; the community is incredible. If you’re reading this, odds are this game has changed your life in some way. As long as Pokémon exists, we’ll continue to do our best to provide content and bring more coverage to the game we all love.

For the sake of privacy, I don’t think it’s a good idea to post the stories.

I’m the one who convinced Jeremy to enter the contest. It truly is an amazing story. I’d love to hear Tristien’s if they agree to let you post it =)

I think that sharing the stories would have been critical for the overall value of the event, after all writing, in general, is meant to be published with the community. I encourage you to get permission from the winners and try to post their stories. Please, share the goodies!

Hi Kyle, have you asked them if they would be willing to share what the stories they submitted? What kind of Pokemon related information could infringe on their privacy? It’s a contest, and generally people who submit know that their entries can be posted? Could you explain? Thanks
