I think beginners will enjoy this deck for a lot of reasons. It has high damage output while using fun and low cost cards that are capable of taking down any top tier deck in the format. When you’re capable of hitting for 180+ t2-t3 in the game (not all the time, but its possible) with a Non-EX attacker for just TWO colorless energy, thats hard to play against.
The deck also just looks cool and has an easy to understand strategy. It also might be fun to occasionally use Meloetta’s first attack when the situation calls for it. For a single Double Colorless Energy, you do 20 damage and get an automatic status condition either way you flip….so not too bad if you desperately need a backup attack or have to do something in a pinch. It has the potential to throw off your opponent with confusion damage or staying asleep at least!

Above all, this deck also has its own official song thanks to BDM tradition: Right Round by Flo Rida :)

      I know.

Becuase, you know, keldeo is really old. Gen 1 is like 15 years old and Gen 5 is 3 years old. I’ve been playing since Gen 3, or about 8 years. That’s probably how old you are. @skyshaymin49:disqus and @blackpoly

Actually, it was right before G4 came out

And denouncing newer players is a great way to get them to stay active in the game. If we didn’t have younger players such as myself, the competitive scene would already be dead.

  4. DarkRaichu

I feel old. The deck I started out with was built around Wigglytuff from Jungle.

I started off with Hitmonchan from Base Set, so don’t feel bad!

the old school tcg was much more fun though, id play one of your decks over a new one anyday!

how much will this deck cost because i dont have a high budget

    1. Kyle Sucevich

Right now you could go on Troll & Toad and buy all of the Pokémon for $13! I’d say this is one of the cheapest decks you could build right now.

  6. Paulzan

4 Meloetta $9, 1 Dowsing Machine $7 at Troll & Toad. Gonna cost you around $50+ for all the cards

My friend built this deck and I cannot defeat it. Any suggestions? I’m running a mainly dark/grass deck with some fairy and psychic in the mix. It’s pretty good, I just can’t beat this deck

    1. C-Dub

Use leafeon. Energy crush owns the toad.

You should make a begginner deck based around reniculus’s net force. It’s kind of like a weaker and cheaper form of round. I think it would be cool if you found a way to make it pretty good, because I can’t even really get the cards for a round deck, cause I can’t get the meloetta’s from anywhere, and I’m too poor to buy them.
