These videos of the new cards are great. Would be interesting to see one maybe with Gourgeist. Thanks again Pooka!

hey pooka, try greninja/kingdra. i actually faced some of those online and it seemed like a pretty good idea. i gave it some thought and I ended up with something like this:
    3-2-3 kingdra line
    4-2-4 greninja line
    4 rare candy
    2-3 evosoda
    3-4 professors letter
    3 beaches
2 level ball and 4 ultra ball
the supporters and maybe some random receiver
9 water energy and some other stuff you may wanna throw in

It surely is pretty funny to face, and it is a very good matchup against rayboar, since kingdra is a dragon-type pokemon.
Hope you give it a try, I wish I could, but i dont have the cards and dont want to mess my decks to get them in trades, so it would be very nice to see it in action. If you want someone to playtest it, my nick online is steven_steel

Talking about metal decks, any thoughts on a Skarmory EX/Cobalion EX deck?

Here is a list I created last night. I used Spiritomb to counter a probable Victini EX deck, using Victory PIece and do prevent a G Booster from Genesect EX decks.

    3 Klink
    1 Klang
    3 Klinklang PLS
    2 Cobalion EX
    2 Cobalion
    3 Skarmory EX
    1 Spiritomb
    3 N
    4 Shauna
    3 Skyla
    2 Colress
    3 Professor Sycamore
    3 Rare Candy
    2 Heavy Ball
    1 Level Ball
    3 Ultra Ball
    2 Skyarrow Bridge
    1 Super Rod
    2 Switch
    1 Professor’s Letter
    2 Tool Scrapper
    10 Metal
    3 Double Colorless

Rayboar, non-EX yveltal and absol in darkrai, and Flareon decks eat this deck alive.

I am well aware of that. Still thinking on something to counter this.

Here’s my Aegislash list. Its not great but it functions. im trying to ‘iron’ out the ‘klinks’ (pun intended XD). Any suggestions would be more than welcome guys.

    Pokemon
    4 Honedge
    3 Doublade
    4 Aegislash (2 Shield, 2 Buster Swing)
    3 Klink
    1 Klang
    3 Klinklang
    1 Registeel EX

    9 Metal
    4 Double Colorless

    3 Cassius
    3 N
    3 Shauna
    3 Skyla
    4 Rare Candy
    4 Evosoda
    3 Heavy Ball
    3 Roller Skates
    2 Escape Rope

The whole intent was for this to function something like Empoleon in the sense that Aegislash attacks, and Klinklang sits on the Bench. Now i know this deck is a bit low on basics, but i cant for the life of me figure out what two slots to squeeze out for 2 extra attackers, simply because i dont feel comfortable running 3 and 4 energy attackers with less than 13-15 energies in my deck. if there is some way to streamline that, id appreciate the info. I just dont have many metal type attackers that go well with this deck, is all.

This deck is SO SO SO cheap. It works, but it’s so boring. Once Aegislash is set up, the opponent can’t do anything, except if he gets lucky with a pokemon catcher.

The deck is boring because its SO gimicky. It has a predictable strategy that your opponent will know exactly what you’re doing from the start and will try to stop you.

There are also a lot more ways to get around it than with pokemon catcher. Any pokemon that drops damage counters gets around it, escape rope, genesect plasma attach, g-booster, Swellow ability, tool scrapper enough float stones on Keldeo and they can no long rush in-retreat, and any pokemon like Cobalion EX or Rayquaza Non- Ex who have attacks that go through abilities – all can get through your king’s shield.

Maybe fairy energies and Fairy Garden could be an alternative to Keldeo/Float Stone. Doesn’t get around lasers, but it beats Garbodor.

Would an Aegislash/Klingklang deck with Cobalion Ex, Cobalion, and/or Skarmory Ex be viable?

    1. Darkstripe2

      no

  7. $@//

I think another Keldeo Ex would help this deck so you can spam King’s Shield more easily. Also, it needs some way of dealing with special conditions for an almost perfect block (ignoring gust effects.). Virizion Ex and Rainbow Energies maybe?

  8. $@//

Disappointing ending, he could have X Balled with Mewtwo for the win.

Any time I can deck someone out is exciting for me!

There’s a Glitch with King’s Shield Aegislash and Mew EX
