Just wondering: Ninetales DRX has been reprinted as Promo. But I can’t find any Vulpix. Does that mean, there is a legal card that can’t be played because of missing ‘prevolution’?

      Vulpix from LTR.

Thanks. I kind of trend to forget that set ^_^”

No problem, I thought that the DEX Ninetales had been rotated until the other day. 😛

What counters for Pyroar FLF 20 should I use in a Aromatisse/ Genesect EX/ Landorus EX/ Yveltal EX deck. Also which Spritzee should I run.

    1. Zachary Siddiq

Beartic (FUF) is probably your best bet, as it works great against Pyroar but against the popular Landorus-EX as well. As for which Spritzee, it really doesn’t matter between the XY one and the FLF one, as they both have 50 HP and a 1 retreat cost. The Spritzee from FLF can attack for 1 energy, making it better for a worst-case scenario, but as you may never attack with it, it really doesn’t matter.

A small correction on the Promo Cards… it should say BW51 and higher, and XY01 and higher (not BW01 and higher). Here’s the official link: http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/play-pokemon-2015-season-format-rotation/

For Standard, BW51 and higher are legal. For Expanded, BW01 and higher are legal. Since XY Promos came out after BW Promos, I just assumed people would figure out any XY Promos are legal, too.

Can you play a card with the same effect but different name in an tournament e.g gust of wind/ warp point

    1. Sameo15

Nope. They have to have the same nwme. So you use your Rare Candies from 04

i’ve been thinking of playing Yveltal/Garbodor in Extended but i’m not sure what to play in modified apart from Seismitoad/Garbodor. does anyone know a deck under $100 that includes garbodor. I have garbodor/ trainers/ energy

    1. Zachary Siddiq

How about a Flareon deck? It may not be top tier material, but done correctly, it can be decent and surprising against your foes. Plus, you can use a bazillion techs in it, so you can have some kind of counter for every deck out there. I believe Kyle just put out a recent video about Flareon, so maybe you should check it out and add Garbodor into the mix. And it can be under $100!
By the way; Kyle used a Flareon at last years Autumn Regionals and made top 32. Its worth a shot!

I want to buy Virbank and Hypnotoxic but they’re very expensive, how do I know they won’t just rotate out next year?

    1. Zachary Siddiq

It’s largely thought they’ll rotate next year anyway. We have no idea what the format will be next year. Yes, there expensive, but there some of the best cards in the game, plus you can use them later for old format decks when they rotate out. Buy them.
